The italian group of companies Campari has planned to roll out green tecnologies across its properties in the world. The one existing in Kingston (Jamaica) focuses on the Solar photovoltaic system. ESI Spa built in 2015 a 501,6 kWp PV plant for the J.Ray & Nephew Ltd company, which is a subsidiary of Italy-based Gruppo Campari.
Spirit manufacturer J. Wray & Nephew invested US$1 million to build a renewable energy plant that reduces its reliance on the grid, not only for the purpose of energy saving but also to limit CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
This electricity is used during peak operation to run the sugar factory, distillery and dunder treatment plant concurrently.
J. Wray & Nephew Limited is committed to preserving the environment and they has made significant investments in their plant even in compliance to the law of National Environment and Protection Agency (NEPA).
