In 2018 we had the pleasure of being selected by Enel Green Power to carry out the design and construction of the photovoltaic system of the Emergency Hospital of Entebbe in Uganda. The project was realized in collaboration with the Renzo Piano Buildings Workshop architecture studio, the technical staff of Emergency and the engineering team of Enel Green Power.

The hospital puts into practice the sustainable healthcare model, based on the principles of Equality, Quality and Social Responsibility.

The facility, located on the shores of Lake Victoria in Uganda, represents a center of excellence in the pediatric surgery sector for the entire African continent.

The building was developed according to the principles of sustainable architecture from a design point of view, the materials used and renewable technologies. Within this model of environmental sustainability, our team has developed the design and execution of the rooftop photovoltaic system of 290 kWp that will ensure energy independence for the hospital complex in a context where energy supply is often problematic.

The experience of having worked for the construction of the Emergency Hospital in Uganda makes us proud to have contributed, albeit to a small extent, to the development of the pediatric hospital sector and renewable energy in Africa.
